YES HELLO, Reader!!!Happy Friday the 13th!! Mwahahahaaa. Oh wait, do you suffer from paraskevidekatriaphobia? If so, then my apologies. I hear the antidote to the misfortunes ov the Venusian 13th is ARTE appreciation & patronship. Lady Luck most especially shines her smiling favor on sacred patrons ov the ARTES. True facts. Allow me to imbue you with ample protection opportunities below! First, I want to thank everyone for the outpouring ov LOVE and support I received in response to last week's transmission. Your responses filled my heart with so much hope and joy! The people have spoken and I made a whole new series ov postcards in response!! I had SO MUCH FUN creating these postcards. I started by scrawling sacred shapes & sigils with Prismacolor pencil onto thick archival watercolor paper, and then washed them with colorful gauche paint. I cut each page into 6 postcard-sized segments and spent ALL week obsessing over them as I collaged my cut ups & clippings. Many many hours were spent in loving labor over this series. Honestly, I really LOVE the way these turned out. I have dubbed this series the: FORCE THEE HAND OV CHANCE POSTCARD SERIES. Kudos if you know the reference. ALL EIGHTEEN ov the postcards below have been varnished with archival satin varnish, to ensure that these will stand the test ov TIME, should you care for them. Also, I will note that I photographed ALL ov the postcards POST-varnish so, what you see is what you get! Beautiful imperfections and ALL. There was concern from one ov my subscribers that the Post Office would print their little barcode over the ARTE, but after some research I am going to ensure that the barcode is printed properly on the reverse address side by leaving a 5/8 inch margin at the bottom. Yes, I will be sending these as personalized postcards directly in the mail, not in envelopes. Yes, I can mail them ANYWHERE in the WORLD, as long as you give me a valid mailing address. I have made payment links for EACH ov the 18 postcards where you can snag the specific one(s) you want. For those ov you who want a snail mail SURPRISE, I have created a payment link for SURPRISE SNAIL MAIL POSTCARDS at the very bottom! Unlimited quantities! I can TOTALLY keep it PG if you want! Want to send one to a friend or foe? Simply put their address in the mailing address spot. You can add a personalized message that I will handwrite for them. Just make a note in the "Message for Hannah Haddix" text box explaining that this is for someone else and what you want me to write. Keep it brief as there is not a lot ov room for the handwritten message considering the margin for the barcode and mailing addresses. Okay, with the preamble behind us... I am STOKED to unveil this week's postcard creations! They are numbered and displayed in the chronological order ov their spawning. Also, the wonkiness ov the edges has more to do with these lil devils not laying perfectly flat, not so much that I cut them like an absolute maniac. OH YEAH, HOLY SHIT, ONE MORE IMPORTANT DETAIL. In the past I did this more grassroots style by accepting payment through my PayPal & Venmo accounts, tax-free. I am going through Stripe this TIME which means that Uncle Sam is inevitably going to get his cut, and so is Stripe. Quite the collection! What do you think, Reader? There is something so unspeakably sacred and blissful about receiving snail mail. The joy simply can't be recreated with digital communications. These cards hold my energy. They are relics ov my passion and obsession. My breath. My tears. My laughter. My wonder. My LOVE. I don't think I have ever completed so many individual ARTE pieces in one week's TIME before. My output was monumental. It truly felt like I was self-employed this week, shackled to my Scissor Temple desk. I am tapping into that Fire Horse energy over here, setting personal goals and sticking to them at ALL costs. Thank you to everyone in my inner circle who has given me the space and TIME to be an anti-social ARTE slave. Most daze I only leave my apartment to feed unsalted peanuts to the crows, a daily ritual I have grown to LOVE. I wore these whimsical bee glasses to help me invoke the spirit ov the busy bumble bee, who is always hard at work, even if it seems she is merely admiring beautiful blooming flowers.
