Transmission #33: Spectral Series & Anima Nocturna
YES HELLO, Reader!!!This week I am transmitting my glyphs to you from the big blue mountains ov Eastern Tennessee where I am spending TIME with my Mothership and young cat siblings, Brother & Lucy. I am breathing in the living color green and enjoying the beautiful tiny home haven that Mothership has built here. This y-era she built a massive screen porch attached to her mountain home on wheels. The night frogs sound like screaming monkeys and the downpour rain on the tin roof is louder than the Industrial harsh noise show. I made another postcard series before I left town. I altered my process slightly which resulted in a very different vibe. I used acrylic paint pens on the background pages instead ov Prismacolor pencils. Once I cut each ov the 3 large pages into 6 smaller postcard sized pieces, I found the backgrounds so busy and beautiful that I didn't want to cover a lot ov them with collage clippings. This series feels more mixed media than collage. Somewhat simple compared to my previous postcard series. I am calling it "Spectral Series." Anima Nocturna is publishing an otherworldly magical photography ARTE book, "In the Mirror ov Qutub," that is an engaging, magical working response to Andrew Chumbley's, "Qutub: The Point." Here is a lil blurb about Andrew Chumbley's, Qutub, as found on the Miskatonic Books website: Qutub defines and illustrates the Design ov Crooked Path Sorcery through a series of 72 poetic verses, each representing a specific arcanum of Draconian Gnosis. Carlos responded to each ov the 72 verses with magical workings that resulted in photographic scrying mirror totem spells. The book is a breathtaking experience that I have been honored to behold and be featured in as a flesh conduit for the invocations. I can not wait until I have my own copy ov the printed compendium in my hands. It is truly so special and powerful. Visceral and deep. Twilight language as photography composites.
